The Whitehaven Methodist Church, built in 1892 by local shipwrights is a beautiful example of their carpentry skills. It has always been an important mainstay in the village and celebrated its centennial in 1992. Today, it is owned by the Whitehaven Heritage Assn and used for community meetings and is also for rent.
Yes, you can rent the Church very reasonably for your special event, weddings, funerals, church services, holiday services and can also be used for other purposes such as a performance space for music, book or poetry readings. Rentals can also include the use of the Schoolhouse/Museum for receptions and other similar uses.
If you were married in the Whitehaven Church we would love to hear from you. We would love to post your wedding photo in a planned special collection.
